“ What a wonderful time at Van’s after visiting Marengo Caves. The food was delicious but their vegetarian options were very limited. The decor and ambiance was very relaxing and homey. The apples were amazing. ”
“ Everytime i am in town I make sure to stop in. Prices are right and I have not had anything bad. Do wish they had okra though. Portions are great. You cannot go wrong. ”
“ A nice little side of the road, mom and pop joint. atsmophere was pretty good. Everyone was friendly. The food was excellent. It's worth the 2-hour drive from our hotel. Wanted to go back before going home from vacation, but time did not allow it. Me and the wife had the 4-piece fried chicken. My kid had a double bacon cheese burger. Will definitely go back when we return to that area. The coleslaw was awesome. I loved the finely chopped texture and the flavor. Even my kid loved it, and she normally hates coleslaw. ”
“ Great little restaurant right by the caves. I had the broasted chicken special and it was perfectly done. The fried mushrooms and pinto beans were great as well. You won't break the bank here, as the prices are reasonable. Portions are modest, but probably about right if you plan to do some hiking or canoeing around the area afterwards. ”
“ Our server Amber E. was so sweet and relatable (which is hard to find). We're from Evansville, IN, and we decided to stop in for lunch. They have the BEST fried chicken I've ever had in my 48yrs of life, and they cooked it to order! Some of the best ranch dressing as well!! A small, cute, laid-back casual Cafe style restaurant. Even the salad and green beans were amazing!!! Thank you, Van's! We'll be back! * Pictures were after I ate...lol* ”
